Banana Seed Germination Forum As one of the toughest seeds in the plant kingdom to figure out the keys to germination success with, this is a forum with banana seed germination tips. Please entitle posts like "Musa balbisiana," or "Musa cheesmani," etc. People would then post a reply under that heading, sharing their germination successes (and failures), what materials and methods they used, germination percentage, etc. |

Re: ensete
Sounds about right for the ensete, keep the temp constant and the humidity high. The musas need fluctuating temperatures (cool at night, warm during the day) and also high humidity. You've chosen seeds that all take a long time to pop up, good luck and don't lose heart.

Re: Ensete
just j i hope you are not in a hurry as some banana seeds can take up to a year or even two to germinate the Ensete Ventricosum will most likely germinate first i have grown many of those the germinate easily but the rest are slow the best way is to use a heat mat with a thermostat 86 deg for 12hr then off for 8 hr or so ever one has there way of doing it so thats just a general rule of thumb good luck!

Re: ensete
I wouldn't bother with the ensete seeds, the musa seeds however, opinion is divided, I don't, but then I haven't had that many pop up for me, so try some.
