Banana Seed Germination Forum As one of the toughest seeds in the plant kingdom to figure out the keys to germination success with, this is a forum with banana seed germination tips. Lightbulb Germination - Musa sikkimensis "Daj-Giant"
-Soaked 5 days
-100 seeds in transparent plastic pot near a sunny windows
(the pot is closed, substrat = pouzzolane + peat and a little bit of charcoal)

First germination in 3 weeks.


Update :
- 4th of June : 20% germinate.

This is a seed with 2 stems.

Seems common for sikkimensis daj giant

Я имел счастье с этой партии - наверное, действительно свежие семена.

Если клубнелуковиц достаточно велика, они будут снаружи. За исключением четырех или пяти внутрь.

У меня нет опыта с бананом в зимний период, так что я придется найти нужное место, субстрат и защиты.

My first try was 1 out of 30 (helen's hybrid)
I've had good luck with that batch - probably really fresh seeds.

If the corm is large enough, they will be outside. With the exception of four or five inside.

I have no experience with banana in winter so i will have to find the right place , substrat & protection.
