Not only here but just about everywhere LOL. If you look above here on that long blue bar - at far right, click on 'search' and type in Ty Ty & you'll find a bunch of stuff about them. Their ads are hilarious.

I've never bought from them either but it's impossible to take them seriously because of the "risque" pics- seems to be a stupid marketing move to try to sell landscape plants with sex...I just can't see the connection. Plus their prices aren't exactly "wonderful"

One of the members here, I believe it was Ron, actually went to the nursery. You need to read his account of what happened. I think you can view it under Texas Star and a Carolina King search.

Basically, all you need to know is that they use photo-shopped pictures in all their advertisements, rely on sex/glamor/status to sell their merchandise more than legitimate/truthful marketing. They also have prices that are higher than they should be, incorrect information in their listings and honestly, I really don't know if you'd actually receive correctly what you ordered from them. I would highly advise against ordering from this nursery if I were you.

That's my two copper Lincolns, anyway.

I agree... How could you take it that seriously, given the hordes mal information. I've found more errors in their listings than I've found correctness. Probably the worst offense, is the ad for Guava, when it's a Feijoa. It looks to me more like there's quite a disconnect from the person who grows, to the person who's in charge of their marketing plan. All that said, when I looked up their business profile in public records, they were pretty profitable, so chances are, there's enough ignorant/uneducated banana buyers out there to keep them in business after all of these years. And... reality is.. .sex sells, whether we like it or not. Though I am not trying to defend anyone, I personally have found much more offensive marketing ploys than this with other retailers including people using god as their 'safety/trust shield', soooo...

WOW! Really? This is crazy. I didn't know that DG would allow someone to delete complaints. I would have guessed that they would be a little more business and info fair than that. If a business could delete all of the complaints, then it seems as though DG isn't really a great place to go to find out the good OR bad on a business. Hmmm.. now I'm perplexed about DG. Shame on them too!

Yes. I heard that Ty Ty sicked the lawyers on Dave's Garden and forced them to remove all of the feedback. You can find feedback for Aaron's(same owners) though. Im pretty sure a business cannot delete any feedback from Dave's Garden... taking legal action is another story.

Here is some feedback I found from Amazon:
Amazon.com: Customer Reviews: TyTy Nursery

One of many threads discussing Tyty:
Everyone's favorite nursery is posting tons of videos!

I don't think I've ever seen any company with such an incredibly high percentage of negative feedback.

I stumbled upon their joke of a site a while back while looking for information on the 'quince'. I saved their site as a source of entertainment. How they have made a single penny over the years is completely beyond me! You can't even email them!!

Ty Ty has a wholesale side to their business as well and their ads in the trade magazines look nothing like their website. I was quite surprised when I checked out their site.

My family and I decided one weekend to drive a little over two hours to TyTy to visit the nursery. My thinking all the time put into the web page and all different items they have this would be a treat. I never was so disappointed in my life. I first started thinking this is just where their office is and they kept some of their plants here. There is no way this could be it. I think I counted maybe ten banana plants none of them appeared to be in that good of shape to be the middle of the summer. I did not know what they were selling because there were no pups the grounds were very poorly kept. There were a lot of potted plants that did not look very uuuummmmm nice. The hole nursery was maybe an acre. My visit lasted about five minutes and I have seen all I could see and was afraid to look any were else. I am no pro and have not visited many nursery's but after months of looking at the web site I was crushed. I could not think about nothing else on the two hour trip back but WTF just happened. I still wanted to say that their plants must come from other places until I read all the negative reviews.

LMAO!!!! I too am amazed anyone would take them seriously. The first time I stumbled upon the site.. I found a pic under the "shade tree" category that had to be out of a playgirl magazine. It was some shirtless guy, sitting in a chair with a santa hat on, and pointing at his crotch. The crotch area was covered by a maple leaf!! LOL!!

I've had several good laughs at their expense. Their photo-shopped banana pics are hilarious!
