Thanks Scott,

The black sigatoka looks very familiar. I'm going to photo document it much more when the rainy season kicks in.

Hi Caloosamusa,

Thank you for the feedback. The weather is WET this year in Hilo, Hawaii.

At my house, I had about 90 inches of rainfall from January through March of 2009!

That is sigatoka weather, certainly.

Cheers,

Scot

90 inches in three months?!!! WOW!! We only get an average of 52 inches per year here, and that is mostly between June and October. No wonder sigatoka is only a nuisance there!

Rmplmnz, did you fish for steelhead at Soleduck? It's world famous and considered a fly fisherman's dream destination.

Thanks Scot, great stuff.

When I first saw this post I wasn't aware of your involvement in the academic area and I thought;

Does this guy grow his 'naners so bad he's got tons of pix and info on them?

Dr. Nelson,

Glad to see you have joined us here. Welcome aboard! I came across your site some time last year, I believe, and posted a link to it as well. It's on here somewhere. I just recently sent it Lorax as well and she said she'd spoken with you. Again, great to have you here!

Any way we can get this thread stickied so it stays at the top? I do it all the time on V-Bulletin on another site. I think the resources herein are very helpful and will benefit members by being easy to find.
