Blue Java HELP
I am having trouble with my Blue Java, her name is Jade. She is slowly leaf by leaf dying I believe . Weird this is, a little pup is growing right next to Jade. I've uploaded a picture of her in my gallery. You can see the dead foliage by her, I'm keeping track, her big leaves are also turning brown and dying. She's also tilting, she tilts towards the sun so I rotate her, but she hasn't moved at all and seems to be tilted more than usual ( I was gone for a week). Any suggestions??? She is in great soil. But I'm concerned maybe she's not getting enough light since I brought her in since its too cold outside.

Re: Blue Java HELP
Black that low is not a good sign and your soil maybe holding to much water for the temp its at, just saying. I hope it works out for you. :^)

Re: Blue Java HELP
2 moist is my guess...maybe throwing out a last ditch effort via a real small pup in hopes of passing on the family genetic code bfor mom goes by the way of the compost heap...i would try a repot. and if nessery you might have to reduce to just a corm and try a do over..if that be the case make sure you remove any sign of rot..if not my fingers are crossed for you and sweet jade....marry xmas

Re: Blue Java HELP
I agree, replace the soil with some miracle grow house plant soil. Let it stay dry for a while and agree the base looks like its on its way out. GL

Re: Blue Java HELP
well you guys were right, too moist, rot =( was changing the soil and the base was just to soft and she snapped right off, going to try and save the pup. I think I'm going to need a bulb for some extra light for little jade. I'm so bummed..
