Default Yo I got a Sunburn..

Yes for those members taking stuff outside or getting ready to in the coming weeks, this is inevitable. Sunburn happens, and the new leaves that grow out will be used to the intensity of direct sunlight.. :^)

Just trim leaves as they no longer have green.

The sun altitude is very high this time of year and about like mid August. The sun declination is near + 14.9 degrees on April 30.

My AC is broken and the temperature inside in 87 F right now with 66% relative humidity and the lowest temperature inside last night was 84 F and the high inside today was 89 F. I sweat all night long!

I made a redneck AC with an old ice chest. Does it work? It does make a difference but not a big difference. If not for all the heat transfer from the building materials, furniture, and other stuff indoors to the inside air,it would be much more effective lowering the air temperature. The latent heat of fusion for water is 334J/g and two frozen gallons of water can absorb about 2525KJ of heat from the inside air as the ice melts and lower the temperature in a small room by 1F to 2F. That is not a lot but better than no cooling and the cost to make a redneck AC is very low. I got my central AC fixed and it is good thing I did because it is even warmer now than it was in early May when my AC was broken!
