Default Ae's Ae's

So far this winter my Ae's have done okay. I now have them in a west window. They have been there since Oct. One has a new 1 ft spike coming out. The other Ae's spike is still alive but not doing much. So far so good. They will have been inside 8 or 9 months before I can safely put them back outside. I water very little but mist 2 times a day.

Well glad someone has done well with them (where its not exactly warm during the winter). That's a challenge I don't think I'll be taking. The plants are very pretty, but I'm sure they don't much care for the cold? Yeah we want to see the pic's :^)

Nice to see you're back Vickie. What I wouldn't give to have a Ae! If yours is putting out leaves, even though slow, that's good. It will start picking up now that the days are getting longer. All my nanas grew very slowly this winter & some not at all, but some are now taking off.

Water Ae Ae. Well at their price not sure I want to chance it. And if they throw a pup I want to keep it for an extra. If I get enough pups I might try it later. Right now both Ae's look rough from a long winter inside.

A lady in another forum just got an Ae Ae banana. I told her she should come here to learn about potting and feeding. The person she got it from said it is not hard to take care of it is just another banana. Well I tried it is her lost if she listens to the idiot that sold it to her.
