Default Force Fruiting

Hello,
Can you "force" a banana plant to fruit if you are growing indoors and adjust the time the plant is exposed to light - switch the plant from vegetative to flowering phase?

May the force be with you.

It's my understanding that fruiting in bananas is a function of plant maturity and not day length....

I am. I also grow them in lower altitudes - at 10,000' only plantains and dwarf cavs survive (for edibles; I can grow Ensete to great effect here). Lower down towards the jungle, I have a fairly long list of cultivars.
