growing saba in a container
Well, I decided this year I'm going to plant my old ice cream banana in the ground this summer and dig it up in the fall after it pups. It should look pretty cool with fruit on it in the ground display bed near the parking lot. Now that I've done one impractical banana for a large pot, I'm thinking about doing my saba in a container. It's already touching the top of my 12' greenhouse. Are saba's fairly wind resistant? It has a huge sturdy looking trunk about 8" across or more about 2' up.
I can fasten it to the garage so it doesn't blow over, but it's going to be sticking above the roof of the garage, so I was concerned about "folding" of the pstem in 40 mph winds we commonly get here.

Re: growing saba in a container
Sandy, are you going to sell Sabas this year? I'm looking forward to visiting you soon and spending my annual plant budget.
