These were in a large indoor waterpark here in Wisconsin. The smaller plants were about 8ft the larger around 16ft any idea what kind they are??

The leaves on the larger plants were huge 5-6ft long and about 2ft wide.

They look like 'Dwarf Cavendish', a very common variety. Though if you ever go back and can get a photo of one fruiting, we can say for sure.

I have to agree on the DC those wide leaves are almost unmistakable.. 16ft' is a lil to tall for a DC isn't it? Maybe the taller one's are Cavendish's (non Dwarf). You can tell they haven't seen any wind :^)

Tim, would you happen to be my cousin living in Stevens Point & visiting the Wisconsin Dells? They are famous for their water parks!

Yup yup! Dwarf Cavendish. And by the looks of it, they could have easily put in something taller with that ceiling height!

AS per my opinion Dwarf Cavendish is the right one here. The banana leafs are looking quite huge one so no other option looks perfect here. Yes another option is that it might be of hybrid type.

Nice! I remember hearing about this waterpark before and seeing pictures of the bananas in a photo. They are definitely Dwarf Cavendish, doesnt look like a plain Cavendish to me, Dwarf Cavendish can get pretty tall. They look great without the wind that usually tatter up the leaves in the outdoors and the humidity from the pools keeps them looking good.

I agree, I would like to see some rarer bananas, maybe a saba, blue java, and it would be really awesome to see an Ae Ae banana, but that might be asking for a little too much. haha.
