I have been doing an experiment with 2 namwah's. Both were purchased at a height of "6 inches and one was given about a half bottle of Landshark beer every other week. They are both under a 400watt MH light and in Miracle Grow soil with waterings once weekly. Room temp is 74 degrees and humidity is around 60%. The Larger one is the alcoholic...lol

Larger one is over 22inches and the leaves are around 16 inches the smaller one is about 16 inches total..

Very nice...keep us informed on the progress of your experiment! Guess the beer thing doesn't work for humans, huh? Otherwise I'd be HUGE!!

I have to try this now. I love my plants but I think they are going to have to settle for Milwakee's Best or something like that. I am keeping the Land Shark for myself!

The mineral content of beer is often beneficial to fruiting plants. Its a fun but expensive way to feed your plants.

By the way ...
Beer Is A Synthetic Pesticide.

Diet Coke (or regular) is a bloom formula and soil acidifier. Its an entertaining supplement to feed your tomatoes.

I'm not sure about Dr. Pepper. Once upon a time it was soda water, prune juice, and sugar. I never looked at the details.

I'd be careful using regular coke or doctor pepper. Using more than a pint could bring unwanted insect and fungal problems due to the sugar content.

There is Jerry Baker - master gardener, who wrote books on plant care w/ many home remedies, & he says to pour leftover coke & beer -- NOT DIET coke, on your plants. Or, to make sugar water & pour that on outdoor plants. I did this to my lilacs & some indoor plants & it did not cause any problems w/ insects etc. Sugar is good for plants.

Well up yonder you don't have to worry about fireants. Now a pot not in the ground you can do that all day down here. You pour sugar water on the ground down here you best expect them. I'm dosing out the beer remedy tomorrow :^)
