Truly Tiny Bananas
Good Morning!!
Taking a look through my pics & wanting to log the growth on our individual plants, I was amazed at the growth on the Truly Tiny banana that I bought from Scot(Chironex) in late July. Here it is as received: (Between the Cheeka & Dasycarpa)...and potted up: 3 days ago: (Mine for 3 monthes) I feel it's growing really well considering I have only fed it fertilizer twice since the beginning of August... How are all of your doing? PICS!!! ~Cheryl

Re: Truly Tiny Bananas
I had mine since summer '06 - a 2 inch tc, & it grew VERY slow untill this year. I potted up 3 times just this year! P stem is just over 12 inches. Weird that this is the first year it got any coloring!
Yours looks like it is growing great!! How tall is it? Hard to tell in pic.

Re: Truly Tiny Bananas
truly tiny was a mutation of the brazilian banana. The original plant came from Truly Tropicals in Boynton Beach, FL.

Re: Truly Tiny Bananas
I measured the Mama & pup today:
Mama: 8 inches P-stem height, Pup: Almost 6" P-stem Ht. Otherwise they're about 13 - 15" from base to top leaf - the pup sending up it's leaves is taller for the moment! ~Cheryl
