What is the best tasting potted banana
From what I've read the Musa Super Dwarf is the best since it stays pretty small making it ideal to bring indoors. I'd like to try the ice cream but seems like it might get too large to bring in over the winter.
Any suggestions? |

Re: What is the best tasting potted banana
We are finishing a greenhouse this week made from an old trampoline frame we got for free. I just saw someone post a free metal gazebo frame on craigslist that would make a QUICK greenhouse draped with clear plastic. Don't think for one minute that a greenhouse is not in your reach.

Re: What is the best tasting potted banana
Another thing I have noticed about super dwarf and dwarf cavendish is that the root systems are not so small either. They become rootbound very quickly, especially if you allow too many pups to overcrowd the container. I think this is one of the reasons many people don't ever get fruit in containers. They need containers at least 2/3 the diameter as the plant itself.
