![]() I got 800 g of Miracle Grow dissolved in 1 gal. of water; and 1000 g of SOP in about 2 gal of hot water. It feels like it has all dissolved. I get a weight on the dregs tomorrow when I filter the sop I'm shooting for a final 10 gal NPK mix of .5%-.17%-1.5%.
Mixing will only take a few minutes in the morning. Then feed the Nanas. |

![]() I just finished foliar spraying my Bananas. It didn't take very long to do and sure as hell beats toting a hand sprayer. .... I have about 6 gal of the mix left, enough to spray again next week.
The Miracle Gro has some dregs left in the bottom of the 1 gal milk jug. But not a lot out of the 800 g. The SOP was near 100% dissolved in the hot water. I had about 18 g of dregs out of the 1000g. So I over shot the 800g I needed for the mix; but that's not a problem. I added 1 cup + 4 Tblsp of Epson (2 Tblsp / gal) salt and about 2 1/2 oz of ivory dish soap. This made about 10 gal of mix. I use 2 buckets (5.5/6 gal each) just filled them up and poured in the tank. There's no pictures. So just picture dripping banana leaves and you got it. |

![]() Last year I bought Wuxal Calcibor though I never used it since the soil was well composted and wormy. Today, 26 Oct, 2019 I used it on the two pups I transplanted yesterday. I eyeballed the mix. Will update with pics as time goes on.
The pups this morning, looking a little yellow Banana Gallery - Foliar Fed 26 Oct 2019 Picture of the nutrient analysis Banana Gallery - Foliar Feeding 26 Oct 2019 |

![]() Quote:
It is the 5 lb Miracle Grow All purpose Plant Food (NPK 24-8-16). $10 to $12 at WalMart. And this year WalMart had a knockoff (24-8-16) at half the price. I think it was made by Scot. ..... The final mix NPK was stated in post #41 above .... final for 10 gal NPK mix of .5%-.17%-1.5%. |
