Is it illegal to bring plants to the EU? I go to Europe frequently at times 2-3 times a month for a few months at a time. I thought of bringing a few plants for friends in Germany and Scotland. But I don't want to break any laws. I never thought much about it, until this forum.

No, I think what is forbidden is to bring it for commercial use without certiphicates (Eastern Europe and area from Slovenia to Greece) or import uncertiphied plant material (western Europe)...

If you try hard and want to make some of your friends happy, than there's no problem of importing. It's just about fantasy. Ukrainians can get 12000L of booze in one transport, that is thoroughly searched, so any prob?

I think if you want to bring plants into the UK from outside the EU you need a certificate, otherwise you run the risk of getting it confiscated. I looked up those regs a few weeks ago. Seeds are fine.

But the problem is in EU. How would you get it to EU?

OK, Ante , I noticed your sticker says LOVREC, what is that for a city? There was always Makarska riviera and now only Lovrec.

EU is difficult. You have to get it to a country in EU that has lower security measures, like Central European countries, Romania and so... and then freely ship it to the whole Europe.

These stickers are mass up lots of times. I thing we were discusting this one beafore. Lovreć is village on other side of Biokovo mountain, some 50km north from here.
Slovenia is blocking Croatia entering EU again. So it is a long long journey now.

Ha, they have even worse weather than I do. Much worse.
Hope to see the switch back to Makarska on the sticker some time soon. But it's all God's will with these stickers, ay?

You have no idea, how much they help you. No idea indeed. Just an advice. Do not enter EU, unless Russia is there too.
