Default let's share with others (places, customs, events etc.)

Since we have a winter now and bananas and the other plants don't grow to much I thought that it would be nice to start some new loose topic to discuss.
So feel free to join in....

In the beginning my christmas tree which I'v just finished adorning.

Well I don't have any pic's but January's here & in La. is synonymous with Mardi Gras.. The parades (people saying "throw me something Mr."), Early Crawfish season; eating Hot Crawfish or as many call it "suckin' head" around here.. kinda like the tim McGraw song "I remember when" a hoe was a hoe.. It just where the juice is on the crawfish & the fat & the flavour. January 30th is a big parade here in shreveport. Of course Fat tuesday is the day prior to Lent beginning (Ash Wednesday). 40 days of watchin' banana's grow :^)
