I had a classmate with lovely pink-green-white hair. And the newly grown parts close to the skin were either blond or slightly brown...

Bob, innocently enough, suggested purple and green. In my younger, wierder-looking days (when I was in a band, truth be told), those were the colours of my hair, which was short and spiky.... I think it's far more shocking now to look like a square and then step up to the mic and sing punk songs....
