another Wolfskill Orchard visit
Today I spent about 5 hours at the Germplasm Repository at Davis, California. I spent about an hour looking at some of the grape hybrid cultivars (they have about 3,000 accessions of grape species and cultivars), and the remainder of my time examining the figs and the greenhouses. One of the figs -- "Santa Cruz Dark" is a purple-skined honey type with distinct banana flavor overtones!
