Bambusa Oldhamii - Bamboo Forum - GardenWeb

There's a thread on gardenweb where someone's done it. It has pictures. I can't root my bamboo that way (yellow groove) but since it's such a crazy spreader it doesn't matter anyway. I have noticed that single cane divisions like your cuttings will be when they root, are very slow to get size on them, so be patient when you've gotten them rooted.

I purchased some giant Timber bamboo from the TEXAS BAMBOO society suggested I look at their site for instructions on divisions.
