Default Bonsai growers

I was just wondering if we have any Bonsai Gardeners on the forum or not? I was given one and don't know very much about them.

I used to have about 15 when I was younger....until I left for college and couldn't take them with. I had had many of them for years, yet a few months with my mother caring for them and they were all dead. So yeah...I don't have any bonsai at this time, but still love them and will get back into them someday. They're a lot of fun, but do require more care than your basic houseplant.

The bonsai trees are interesting in that one takes a tree that should grow very tall and by changing its environment makes it into a midget tree which is against the genetics of the tree in question. I do see the value for fruit trees that one wishes to grow indoors if the outdoor climate is not suitable. I would like to hear more about bonsai trees.

There is no way anyone should be offended. If you like spending the time with these little trees, more power to you.

One of the best collections of bonsai that I have seen is Heathcote Botanical Gardens in Fort Pierce, Florida......... pretty awesome one of the best in the U.S.A.
I have some jade plants and ficus trees that I have been training .....my oldest is a jade plant 17 years old ......grew it from a single leaf.

Have fun and enjoy yours.
