Colocasia Formosana
Any of you guys over the water growing this trunking Colocasia?
I managed to get a small plant grown from the prolific runners they send out. The come from Taiwan and get huge by all accounts, So they should do well in some of your climates. Here's a picture of the pup and a tray of small plantlets grown from its runners

Re: Colocasia Formosana
Yep, as Mark said, this is a cool grower and should do well with you guys. Try cooking the tuber and then mash it up like a 'tater and add some sugar. It should taste nice. For westernised eating, you can use it like a jam spread.
I have tried a milkshake in Thailand with yam, very nice tasting flavour. |
