if mother could read this, i would have to kill her, she would be soo obnoxious. she tried to feed me pineapples when i was a kid. i will not tell you what she pulled. but i will tell you that i hated the taste, hated it.

i bought 3 florida pineapple plants from e-bay. 15 dollars. probably tc. but are some things about florida special pineapples you should know.

thing 1; they, even while fruiting can take a frost.

thing 2; you can eat the core. the meat is yellow and taste pretty much the same as what you can buy at the store.

thing 3; they are spineless, the leaves so far as what i have seen are soft.

thing 4; while on the plant the pineapple is red.

here is a pic of 3 newly purchased florida special pineapples after a month and a half in pots. for a pineapple so far is rather purty.

better hurry. supplies only last so long.!!!! i thot somebody might have fun with this.

and oh yeah, super bloom fertilizer, a 16 oz. bottle will go along way on amazon...., every 3 weeks sprayed on the leaves at nighttime. 1/4 quarter teaspoon mixed with 8 oz. of water. or 1 teaspoon to 1 qt. of water, i think with the quart of water.
