Default How NOT to Remove a Palm Tree

Every once and a while, you stumble upon something so brilliant....such a stellar example of intelligent human behavior. I found this video while perusing YouTube and thought some of you might enjoy it!

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!! LOL!

PS...why didn't at least ONE of those people in the vid look at this situation unfolding and contemplate the logistics of it...SERIOUSLY! With a very simple understanding of the basic laws of physics (even without education on such) and common sense, this just was NOT going to turn out well! I am often amazed by how ignorant people can be at times!! If the guy in the truck had died, I think this deserves a nomination for a Darwin Award! LOL. (seriously, though...I hope he didn't die, but you gotta agree this is def Darwin Award material, right?)

Well as you can see they thought this out. At least the palm was unharmed.

I can't find it anymore, but it was posted twice before. Since I can't find it though, I guess you're in the clear!

I can't believe with all those people standing around there wasn't one single person there with an ounce of common sense! Or maybe the ones that did have the common sense kept their mouths shut on purpose?

I enjoyed it! You can see the driver getting out of the passenger door after the palm comes down. Yup they're out there alright.

Yeah, I did a quick search just now and couldn't find it either....WHEW! *wipes sweat off brow* That was a close one!

I do tend to look for answers to questions I have in the forums, but something like this I don't even think twice about looking before posting.

That was hilarious! Not one person showed an ounce of surprise when the palm fell on the truck. They almost looked at each other and said 'I knew that was going to happen'

Do you think his insurance would cover it?

Unfortunately insurance does cover stupidity --and we all pay for it! I don't know how they could have seen it coming out different.

Yeah, that was my favorite part as well! If you listen carefully, there's a pause after it hits the truck then one guy is like 'Oh.' He doesn't really sound very surprised, though....more of a 'oh, so THAT'S what happens when you do this! Who woulda thought?'

Nah...insurance only covers tree damage from a FICUS (or at least that's what State Farm said LOL)

And YES, I realize this is the PERFECT video response to that question....I love being totally on top of situations like that, sometimes! LOL.

If you had notice that is the driver side of the truck not the passenger! Several countries are opposite side from the U.S.A.!!

This is great. Needs to be posted every spring and fall Not just for a laugh but to remind us to think before we do things that could be dangerous.
