Thanks Richard.
But would it be happier if I planted it at my pergola plat which means on the ground? So it should be closer to my California gold.
I'd like to do the transferring when the frost is over in my area.

I use Grow More 28-8-18 which is available here: Fertilizers For Subtropical Fruits From Plants That Produce

Thanks, James.

Richard my whole family will be going to Imperial Beach perhaps in about 3 weeks from now. Can you tell me a store close enough there to buy the fertilizer? And where is San Diego State located?

Plants That Produce (me). Let me know and we'll arrange a meet-up.

From Imperial Beach, you would travel north on the 15 Freeway and then east on the 8 Freeway and exit at College Boulevard. Bring lots (dozens) of $ bills for the parking meters.

If you are going to SD State, you might as well go one more exit east and eat at the world-famous DZ Akins restaurant. The food is inexpensive and don't order more than a half sandwich unless you are hungry.

Thanks Richard. I'll keep in touch.
Also I did what I have to do with the babaco I got from you. I transferred it and planted it on the ground at the pergola plat. I can't wait any longer but tonight I put clear plastic cover. I am thinking when the weather gets really warm its roots should be very well established on the ground.

I've been looking out my front window at this(and lots of snow)

Funny how I never noiced these till yesterday:

I water from the top and hadn't seen the flowers on my 1 yr. old Dwarf (notice I can spell it) Key Lime till yesterday. On Closer inspection there were already a bunch of spent flowers wwith little limes on them!

I am redesigning my backyard. It appears that my pergola plat has to go. I will be planting most of my plants and bananas either on the hill and or close to the fence.
I started to put the bananas on pots for the time being.
Meantime I will not touch the bananas that have flowers.
Just to let you know guys.
BTW, very nice looking bananas Bob. And hope your lime will get bigger.

I am reorganizing my pergola plat. I will no longer use it to protect my plants. Instead I will use it to entertain my friends. I will also transfer it to some area where there is an open yard. All of the plants including citrus and bananas will be planted along side the fence or in pots.
Here's a picture of the pergola plat in progress of moving. Notice EZ's Oroblanco at the extreme left of the picture.
What is going to be left behind only is the California gold because it has fruit already.

I just read through this entire thread and I'm loving all the great pictures! You are quite the mad scientist when it comes to all your grafting! That's pretty incredible. I find it kinda hilarious that all your trees have tags on them so you know what each branch is. Totally understandable though with that much to keep straight! Keep up the good work.

Oh, one more small note...as a moderator on another forum, the threads are easier to navigate if people do not multiple post. Try to put all your pictures for each group in a single post to reduce confusion. You can always use the 'edit' button to add to it if you forget something. Just a thought.

Keep up the great work! I'm loving your grafting skillz!
