Is that a Billbergia? We have one in the greenhouse that blooms just like that, but in the fall or early winter. Beautiful! Thanks,

Frank

Yes!
It is Billbergia - Muriel Waterman

So Far I really like Billbergia's but the Blooms only peak for one day, then they decline fast. I wish it would hang out a little longer.

Mike - that is just gorgeous! Here bromeliads grow wild and a wild-gathered plant (from a chopped down tree) is in bud in the garden at the moment, and we are waiting to see what the flower will be - hopefully as nice as yours!
