Re: OK, I need a help rooting ananas
I twist the top off and then peel back the small, lower leaves until about 2-3cm of bare stem is exposed. I usually plant directly into the ground, but containers also work fine if the soil is kept a little moist. They are very easy to root, but can be tricky to have flower at the right time. They are still fun to grow though.

Re: OK, I need a help rooting ananas
they still may rot. they most failproof way is too just put it in a jar filled with water until roots develop
then plant in the ground Del Monte Gold is amazingly sweet when left to fully ripen. i think it was actually developed to be picked green
