Don't know the kind but it's very blue which didn't show well in the pic.Sure would like to rescue this palm.It's really neglected ad would look great at the Money Pit

some germinated in two months , some are just now germinating. The Jubaea were easier to germinate than the Butia for me.

There is a trick with temp. fluctation whan germinating Butias, just have to figure how.

I have about 700 butia and 40 Jubaea seed in a 4'x6' tray. There in a greenhouse the Jubaeas are germinating but none of the butias have.

I had so many Butia seed I scattered some in each of my potted plants ,just noticed today some are sprouting

It always take at least 6 months for butias to pop for me!

I have some in full sun from strap leaf stage and they are much slower than the one grown in a full shade. They are just ticker on the base.
