![]() At BJ's today, I saw that they were selling Pineapple plants, with Pineapples growing at the top. I am curious, how come it is so hard and takes so long to get a Pineapple plant to fruit here, but they can get them to fruit enough to sell??? What's the deal? Is it the climate they grow them in, variety, or fertilizer?!? I was thouroughly confused.

![]() ethylene, which stimulates bromeliads to flower.
