Newly planted 1 month later 2 months later The growth is obvious after 1 mo. but at 2 mos. they have taken off! The little ones are really picking up the pace.

![]() Aside from varietal characteristics, the size is of the fruit is greatly affected by available nutrients, size and health of the plant prior to fruiting, and climate.

![]() It has been 36 days since I twisted the top off my first pineapple to grow it. When I potted it, it was sort of loose in the pot [prolly due to lack of roots]. Now it is still firm and green and very tight in the soil so I'm certain it has roots! Here is a photo I took about 10 minutes ago:

![]() I would leave the pup on until at least next summer. I dont like adding stress to my plants right before winter since they already are going to be under enough stress once indoors. It will also be larger once next summer comes and have a better chance for survival.
Im glad that I saw this thread again because I completely forgot about the pineapple I have in the ground! Ill post pics of how its doing tomorrow if I remember! Im going to dig it up once the nights start getting into the 40s, but even tonight will be above 50F.
