I have tried to sprout it many times without success. I once got one to sprout but it quickly died before even setting true leaves. These are just from store bought fruit here in Colorado. Dunno if the radiate the fruit or anything.

I had a few more seeds, rotted away but the one is still doing good, slow, you can see the leaves starting to take shape. I will try to remember to post a pic tonight!

They're very temperamental when it comes to cold. I had purchased a tree and grew some from seeds before thinking I would be able to overwinter them. They have since all died. I believe if I'm not mistaken that they are related to Lychees. Best of luck growing from seed.

They don't like dry air, they don't like cold temps. They want warm air and high humidity. It's possible that your seeds were irradiated, so the plants growing from them are sterile.
