![]() Are you going to be able to share the love with those seeds. I would not mind buying some from you if they are true from seed. Do you know if they are?

![]() The 2 flower buds showing make it likely that it's a female or a hermie. When they grow bigger we will be able to tell since female flowers will be fatter than the hermie flowers. Male flowers pop out as clusters of skinny flowers.
The pics in this link show the 3 types. http://www.ctahr.hawaii.edu/oc/freepubs/pdf/F_N-5.pdf |

![]() In addition to what Dan said Female buds usually come from the center and the male blooms on a Herme as Dan so puts it, grow to the sides of the female buds. The pic looks like you have some developing to the sides of the flower but until it grows there is no way of telling. I've have one bud where 2 female flowers developed into fruit hanging from the same stem on a herme as you can see below.. It was raining so its not a perfect picture.. :^)

![]() This is just what I have noticed .. so plant some seeds and see for your selves .. When you transplant it look at the roots. you plant several seeds then when 18 to 20 inches tall you compare root size the smaller size roots are males. Small in width because these plants do not have the ability to bear and grow fruits .. Just my .02
again in a few week I will plant seeds for next years trees and I will be able to see root size difference I will cull out the thin rooted plants

![]() Here is an update of my Seedling. The other 2 have gone to other folks, Fred has one, neighbor that watched my plants while on vacation has the other.
![]() Here is what Trebor is talking about Gnarly Roots for a keeper.. ![]() I didn't notice this till this year w/ the one in the 25 gal pot.. I have to water it everyday so the mulch gets moved around and on a bigger plant they really stand out. :^) |
