Hi Pete,
Well, I am feeling pretty 'DUH' about now...I meant stem cuttings, LOL!! Thanks for catching me on that one!!  Do you have a recommended rooting compound? I have seen some homemade ones... So it will keep the light leaf then??? Awesome!! That will be beautiful!! Thanks for the info!! ~Cheryl

Here's a highly variegated weed I found in my neighbor's yard. I like the striping but am not brave enough to put it in the ground! It has dark little blue flowers that close up at night. Name?

Beth is right- it's a type of Tradescantia, AKA, "dayflower". I wouldn't plant it in the ground unless you don't mind it going everywhere. They are also known as spiderworts. |

We had this plant growing all around our garage when I was a kid mixed in with Vinca minor but I don't ever recall seeing a variegated dayflower.

Here's one of the few ornamentals growing at my home: a dwarf variegated leaf bougainvillea. The sepals vary between orange and hot pink. Above it you see a 1-year old chilean guava (Ugni molinae).
