![]() Merry Christmas
I have a question for sugar cane growers. I cut my cane to the ground and mulched them a several weeks ago when it got right below freezing. But now that we've had a couple of weeks of WARM and RAINY weather those suckers have grown 3-4" and poking up above the mulch I placed on them; anyway it's supposed to go below freezing again next week???? Should I go ahead and snip the canes back down and mulch them again? Or will they be just fine as they are? Thanks in advance for your comments... Snookie

![]() i would not cut ,just pile mulch up little higher,,if anything,if they do get a little damage you can always cut back later..only my opinion..do you have 1 year or 2 year cane??? 1 year little more tollerant of cold
