I've been using M.Gro Bloom Booster liquid fertilizer on my red Texas Star every 7 to 14 days and got a bumper crop of flowers this summer. Mine are in LARGE containers. About 25 lbs M.Gro potting soil to each pot. I water every morning as Texas Star is a "bog" shrub. I love these shrubs!!!

Okay, my red texas star hibiscus seeds are starting to be ready to ship. I know several of you are wanting the white texas star, but not sure if anyone is wanted the red. If no one wants the red, that is fine, I just don't want to waste my time with harvesting the red seeds, if no one wants any. The whites should be ready several weeks later and I will post here when they are ready. But for now, if anyone is wanting the red texas star hibiscus, pm me and give me your address and I will get back with you. Thanks!!!

Hey, Randy, how long does it take for the seed pod to ripen? I know Daylillies takes close to three months. My first bllom was on 8/1 and it formed a pod on 8/2 it is now getting pretty large.

I too will have plenty seed of the red and white if anyone else run out.

Thanks,

Jake

We grew a whole bunch of red star hobiscus which are now about five incheds tall. We are here near nashville TN. We first saw these as historical plants at the palace in New Bern TN. We are interested in 1800's correct plants. Do you still have white seeds to share? Do you have any tips for us. We thought about lining our drive with these plants... Do you think they would work alternated with pink or white dogwood?

I would love to get some seeds, especially the red. I've been looking for these seeds. I'm guessing my resident hummingbirds would love them, and presume they will do fine in sunny CA. I'm new here, but have recently started trading seeds on another site. Please let me know if you want postage. Thank you so much for your kind offer!

I have noticed the Hummer's loving this plant here in Florida. I would think they woul do fine in California, just be sure no to let them dry. They will let you kow when they are thirsty by thier leaves limping.

Finally have both red and white Texas Star seeds ready for shipping!!! I am in the process of compiling a list of folks that are wanting, and what they want (red, white, or both). I will be going to get the mailers within a couple of days and start shipping. All that I ask is that you pm me, or email me, with Texas Star seeds in the subject line. I cannot ship to you if you don't give me your mailing address!!! So, comment all you want to this thread, but if you are wanting to get some seeds, don't say so here, PM OR EMAIL me!!!!
I will let everyone know, that sends me their address and what they are wanting, when I ship via pm or email...

There were a couple of folks that contacted me awhile back with addresses and I have misplaced them, and I truly apologize. Please pm or email me again and I promise not to misplace them this time as I am ready to ship and don't have to keep up with it for very long...

Let me hear from all who are interested!!! THANKS!!!!
