Vanilla Orchid
I have one in a small pot and I want to plant it so it grows up and over the pergola I built. Does it grow best in a pot of orchid mix or will it do OK planted in the ground?

It does better if planted in the ground, but you cannot allow it to freeze. I have several vines in my greenhouse, all planted in the ground, both green and variegated ones. I get lots of blooms. My oldest vine has aerial roots that are over 5 feet long.
