![]() OK, Mom and I were coming back this morning from her hair appointment, and I remembered I needed a y attachment for my back outdoor faucet. Stopped at HD, and I must admit were we bad! Picked up a car full of plants (literally), including a large Windmill Palm marked down from $119.99 to $39.99. We also got some beautiful lilies, salvias, lantana, caladium, colocasia, portulaca, phlox, and a tropical hibiscus.. Took me 30 minutes to fit all this into my little Geo Prizm.I have a lot of digging to do! Pics to follow.

![]() As an aftermath of my oldest daughter's wedding this past weekend (beautiful wedding, could not have gone better, even with the heat), I'll be busily finding new homes for the many plants she chose for her "decor", being as how she has a degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Resource Management. The list includes canna (done !), euphorbias, salvias, and many, many succulents.........whew, I feel tired already. The ever shrinking lawn maybe?

![]() I planted my second ever Elephant ear [don't know what kind]. I was told it will never get more than about 5 feet tall and the leaves will only be about 1-2 feet long but it's a start.
![]() I also got a Jack's Giant [second photo] but I'm fighting spider mites before I plant it.

![]() Beautiful, even sitting in it's pot in front of a brick wall. I like how the red is picked up/echoed in the wall. Should look great in your garden!

![]() Thank you, Bananaram 2, for the compliments about my Purple Fountain Grass!
![]() Today I dug a little hole to plant another Pampas Grass (Cortaderia Selloana)perennial seedling. This plant will be six feet tall with a huge spread also. Sprouted the seeds myself. Looking forward to seeing the pink plumes... ![]() : ) |
