10ft Italian Honey Fig, produces 2 crops per year......yummy!
- we don't worry about pruning it too much because it grows beside the upper deck and we just reach over and help ourselves

I planted an Osborne Prolific Fig at my mother’s house in Tucson, AZ a few years ago. It produces figs continiously from May to December. Last year we had so many figs that they started spoiling in the refrigerator. Currently the figs are about the size of the above pictured ones. As soon as the figs start to ripen, we need to cover the tree with bird netting.

I have two varieties: Turkey and brown something! I have to wait until end May to see new shoots or leaves. Haven't done any pruning.

I stuck some unknown fig sticks in a pot; not sure if they'll root and they're probably one of the trash Southern ones. I rescued some from a mass of "stuff to sell" that were my best that I sent down here in 2007; they survived. Need to get clippings from them I suspect. Blackie is one of them as is #2 (a lovely green perhaps from Smith Island --very rare--never knew but it was palatable) and a nice Italian brown. All set brebas and produce very well. Rusty as I am at propagating, I'll clip a few tops if my recipient doesn't water them well which so far she hasn't. (They're potted and in shade and not being hydrated--idiot)

Normally I shed attached pictures when quoting but I love this one! Not me but I can dream that it could be, right?

I have grown 3 "don't bother figs"-Celeste, Magnolia and Brown Turkey. The first 2 tend to rot even before the birds attack even up north and BT fruit is really puny. I never got a breba crop with any of them and I consider 2 cropping with great taste as judged by my tasters to be crucial if you're going to the effort to grow them. (Blackie makes great jam; #2 can be digested out of hand.)

I believe that's a Tiger Stripe fig Tony posted. If not, I'm also wanting to know the variety.

Again, I'm breaking my rule and leaving the link. Love that shot also! If I were on my computer, I might post a picture of decrepit me from the 70s when I was "raising tobacco". Actually I wouldn't, years later, look that much different from your shots since I am still a creature of freedom at heart. I do have a few stray whites on my right temple but otherwise am still an auburn haired lass and a flower girl forever in my soul.

Peace B with U also...
