Wollemi Pine
Anyone here growing Wollemi Pine? I got one last year in a pot, and it has grown quite well inside in the winter and outside for the summer. This spring, however, most of the banches have new full growth, but the leader has yet to start. I have no idea why. The buds are covered with a type of 'wax', which I know is normal, but could it hinder growth for some reason? Maybe the plant needs to be repotted - any thoughts on that?

Re: Wollemi Pine
I have had two Wollemi pines for about 4 years. They seem to be very slow growers. The larger is only about 4 feet tall, but appears very healthy. In my climate they seem to only have one major growth flush per year. I have the waxy material too. I don't think it is a problem.

Re: Wollemi Pine
Mine is about 2' tall, and most of the branches have new growth that is about 6". I'm just wondering why the leader has not started growing. It did fine last year.
