Re: Full Lunar Eclipse Tonight (12/20)!
We have heavy cloud cover now and forecasts show the probability of precipitation at 70% for the the few hours before and after the eclipse.

For those with clouds impairing your vision like here, here's a link to a NASA webcam:
Spacevidcast, Ustream.TV: Making Space Commonplace . I'm catching glimpses of it. Seems more mysterious with the clouds. |

Re: Full Lunar Eclipse Tonight (12/20)!
If you don't catch it now, you've got to wait another 372 years before it occurs during the winter solstice again!

Re: Full Lunar Eclipse Tonight (12/20)!
Fun fact, this is the real reason, why we celebrate Christmas this time of year. After a total lunar eclipse, pagan religions were celebrating a "new start". It's always a great show. Thanks for the pics and info Harvey!

Re: Full Lunar Eclipse Tonight (12/20)!
I saw part of the eclipse. It was a little too early in the morning to be awake enough to enjoy it though!

Re: Full Lunar Eclipse Tonight (12/20)!
I stayed up late but 10min before the lunar eclipse came it got cloudy!! All that I got to see was red clouds where the moon was suppost to be. The whole sky was red.
