High Resolution hardiness zone map.
The Arbor Day Foundation
Just an FYI, the map image is zipped, you need to uncompress it into a LARGE tiff file (12.6 MB). This is way too large, so I converted it to JPEG (1.57 MB). Also, if you join Trees - Arbor Day Foundation, membership is $10, they'll give you 10 free trees. Last edited by Want Them All : 12-15-2009 at 12:30 AM. |

Re: High Resolution hardiness zone map.
The USDA is supposed to be releasing an updated hardiness zone map soon that will include mosre recent data and break the zones down to a and again like the 1990 map did. I will keep an eye out for it. I am hoping that my area moves up from zone 6 to zone 7. Considering that it has not dropped below zero in the past 12 years in St Louis we should really be zone 7a, maybe even 7b in the city.
Attached is the most recent version of the USDA zone map by the American Horticultrual Soc.
