"Research Institutes" can range from large establishments with buildings, employees, etc. to non-profit entities set up by a professor or two with their university to foster interaction with the commercial world and generally engage in enterprise. I was reviewing some their scientific journals this morning. Seems to be legit stuff. Just thought it might be interesting/useful to some in our group.
