An Interesting Webpage
I do apologize if this has been posted before. But I was looking up the variety YANGAMBI KM-5 and while googling I found this page, I found the photos and information in general interesting and I wanted to share it with you. I think that variety (they show a woman in a field of them near the bottom) has very nice looking uniform bunches.

Re: An Interesting Webpage
I have recently acquired km5, although, the sucker has red spots on the leaves, the psuedostem color seems to match and is also showing the black discoloration of the mature plants.
It has a tan to lime green colored stem, with touches of pink. But unike the Lady finger varieties, it lacks the deep greens. The red spots on the leaves are also not as dark as the Cavendish varieties. The stems begin to turn black over-time from sun exposure, but nothing like black thai. The black discolorations look like rubbing marks or streaks, but not the brown spotting like Cavendish. I'll post some pictures soon. |
