Default It's Just About Time . . .

I'm going nuts here watching our temps rise v e r y s l o w l y here. I know warm days are not far and I'm more than ready to start growing again. Indoor over winter growing is okay for a while but I'm over it for now! Just a couple more weeks !

We have been experiencing above normal temps here and everything in the gardens and greenhouses have been uncovered/opened up and are growing fast.....I have to keep reminding myself NOT to plant some of the vegetables yet. We have even been on the deck BBQing and enjoying the sun before the month of March was over.

Wow, lucky you! We've had a few teasers here and there but it hasn't warmed up yet. Lows in the 20's here this week and highs not even reaching 40-50F. Last week we had 9" of snow! I've peeled my Basjoo tarp back a few times for inspection but I can't wait to (unpack) it for good. I've seen 1 of 3 stems and they seem they've survived but very anxious to see for sure. I'm ready to hear the breeze through the leaves. Nothing here (except some stubby daphadills) has bloomed yet. Last year at this time it was in the 80's and everything was in full bloom.

I actually had to uncover my bananas in mid-March to keep them from starting to rot while wrapped - not sure but I might have lost one of my lasiocarpa due to rot......I can only hope it returns!
