Default Organic Mosquito Repellent

Azmira Organic Neem Spray

I've been using this stuff on myself and the dogs for years as a tick repellent while hiking and just recently figured out that it works as a mosquito repellent too!

4 different people have used it in my yard on different occasions after being attacked by mosquitoes and found that the little bastards completely left them alone after one application of this spray. And the icing on the cake........it smells awesome! I even sleep with it on.

Well we have some windows and doors with no screens that are open until late at night in the summertime so we do get some of them buzzing us while we sleep which wakes us up ....so yes, great to spray before bedtime!

Mosquito netting would work too, but I have the spray.

Hey Mitchell, they are pretty bad here. Doors will open sooner or later and they do find their way in regardless of care taken. Smelling something pleasant beats trying to stay covered up so they can't get you.. :^)

Try clove oil... the mosquitos hate it.

I'm happy with my spray but could give some detail about the clove oil?

I recently read that catnip also works better than Deet, but then the cats would attack you!

Mix about a teaspoon of clove oil in a spray bottle with 1/2 water, 1/2 alcohol. I add a little thyme oil sometimes too.... maybe 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. I don't measure anything. I've even added a little vanilla to the water. Supposedly they hate that too. I think this last batch, I added a tiny bit of neem oil to the mix. It stinks pretty bad, that need oil! Size of the spray bottle? Oh, I think it's about 8-10 oz.
