The bear has been coming through our property for over a year now. Has been getting more and more frequently this past summer and since the school started back up its been everyday...

That isnt strange. I think that is best Supermarket for him ever. He discoverd lot of food there arround trash and I belive he is pretty much enjoying himself.

Haha! Glad they didn't kill him even though he is dangerous! We have friends in New Jersey that have lots of bears visiting even though there is no food available for them there. In Africa we had to be careful of leopard around the bbq, and if you were eating cereal on the back deck - warthog would like some too - please!!! Love wild thangs!!

Actually bears are not to be feared as much as lots of people have been saying...

"Between 1900 and 1985, there were 162 bear-inflicted injuries reported in the United States. This constitutes approximately two reported bear-inflicted injuries per year[1]. Likewise, Stephen Herrero, a Canadian biologist, reports that during the 1990’s bears killed 29 people in the U.S. and Canada, or around 1-2 people a year, as compared to the 15 people killed every year by dogs[2]. Multiple reports remark that one is more likely to be struck by lightning than to be attacked by a bear when outdoors; in comparison to the 1-2 people killed by bears annually, around 90 people are killed by lightning each year[3]. "

Of those 162 times it was probable that 161 of the people could have avoided the confortation and could have been saved....
