what a present
i woke up the the sound of my phone ringing this morning. it was my dad. the city tree choppers were across the street from his place, chewing up some trees(maples) that had been cut down a week ago. it seems instead of the city workers wanting to drive almost 30 miles to the landfill to drop the woodchips, that they needed a place close to get rid of them. well it so happens that i told my dad i wanted some of the chips almost 3 days ago. i wanted them for my walkways in my yard. the city guys delivered about 5 tons of this to my drive way this morning. it was so great! so instead of just using this for my walkways, i decided to mulch in my whole front yard. it is after all trees, and i would rather recycle it then it sit in a landfill. and when it starts to decompose it will be great for the ground. so i guess my saying," the more you mulch the less you mow", is absolutely correct. i still have my side hills to do and another load coming in the next few days. goodness im glad its been nice enough out to work in the yard.

Re: what a present
Lucky you Sam! I haven't had grass in my backyard in years. And its almost gone in the front! I have always liked a grassless yard for myself!
