This is whats wrong
A $440K retreat and word has it they are planning another next week. I say round them up and drag them through the streets.
"Average Americans are suffering economically. They're losing their jobs, their homes and their health insurance," the committee's chairman, Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., scolded the company during a lengthy opening statement at a hearing Tuesday. "Yet less than one week after the taxpayers rescued AIG, company executives could be found wining and dining at one of the most exclusive resorts in the nation." The Associated Press: AIG execs' retreat after bailout angers lawmakers |

Re: This is whats wrong
People on executive incomes purchase cars, boats, and expensive outings like an average person purchases 1/2 gallon of ice cream for desert. Congress didn't consider this when they bailed out the company. I was much happier with the Treasury Dept. handling of WaMu -- seizing the unsolvent portion and selling the solvent part to J.P. Morgan.
