Default word from Scot

got this letter from scot this morning thought you all would like to know its easer for me to past it then to try and reidarate ever word

Hi Pauly,

How are things in Vegas? I would like to know how the bananas are doing, particularly, the Belle. Please send some pictures when you can. I buy fresh bananas about every 3-4 days. Mostly grand nain, but some goldfingers now and then. Even the Orinocos are good here. They cost around $.12 apiece.

I am having a good time in the school here. It looks like I will be moving to Nanjing in about 2 weeks. I will be teaching there, unless something else comes along very quickly. They are offering double what I was offered by the school in Changsha. I will be teaching English and they also want me to teach science. I am quite happy about that.

It is extremely humid here and warm, but not hot. This being the rainy season, it rains about every other day. I don't mind it much.
The drivers here have the right of way and one must exercise extreme caution when on the sidewalk or crossing the street. If the cars won't get you, the electric scooters will - they are silent and usually don't have lights at night.

The local KFC is a social gathering place and I am sick of it. Things are super cheap though. I buy cigarettes for about .30/pack. A sixteen ounce beer is a dollar and this morning I went to a Danish pastry shop and got a ham, egg and cheese on a bun (sort of like an Egg McMuffin) for around $.50

I haven't done much except study since my arrival. It is quite intensive and challenging. For the next two weeks, we are doing live teaching practice in front of real classes, so I am a little nervous. I am amazed at how much grammar has changed since my school days. While I am here, i am learning some Thai, and Mandarin, plus a bit of Hunan dialect. The method that we teach is amazingly simple and leads to rapid spoken fluency.

Hope to hear from you soon. If you happen to find my red silk shirt, please put it in with my books and send it along with them. I can't find it here, so I must have left it behind somehow. I will finally be getting paid on September 20th, so I should be able to send some money to you to cover the shipping.

Hi to Wes, too!

Talk to you soon!

Scot

Thank, Pauly! I was wondering how he was doing the other day. Please pass along a "hello" from me as well. Does he not have internet available where he is? I knew he said it would be dicey.

A couple of weeks ago Scot connected through Yahoo to me through some feature I haven't used before (forget what it's called now). I accepted his invite but didn't hear back from him so I figured he had moved on. Have you communicated via regular e-mail, Pauly? Glad to hear he's found the experience interesting.
