Ya definately let the soil dry out before watering again. I let the soil pull in from the sides of the pot a bit then soak the soil thoroughly, then repeat.

Mine did fine last summer as a juvenile plant in 75- 85 F. But start it in some semi-shade for a couple week so you can let it adjust so you do not burn the leafs in the noon sun.

If you want it to grow you will need a bigger pot. I had my SDC in a 16 gallon pot and moved it to a 21 gallon plastic wine barrel liner and it just shot up. I am hopeful the 21 gallon will be big...

A real pro will tell you an I.D. can't be accurate without a picture of the flower and/or fruit too.
