Description
Sets 8-9 hands of fruit. Shorter variety, but very robust. Good suckered with strong fleshed bananas. The flower is cream with an orange tip. Low susceptibility to yellow sigatoka. This banana grows well in most areas away from the wind. It likes to grow in gulches on the lower frings of a forest. Kofi is not really a dessert type banana, it can be eaten 'out of hand' but it is often cooked. It is a member of the Iholena sub-group wich is a combination cooking-dessert banana that rated highest in the TREC tasting tests.
